Concerning Chastisement
Prov 3:11-12
11) My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
12) For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Prov 10:13 - In the void of understanding of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is
void of understanding
Prov 13:24 - He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Prov 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Prov 22:8 - He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
Prov 22:15 - Foclishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Prov 23:13-14
13) Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14) Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Prov 19:18 - Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Ephes 6:4d - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of
Nurture - Paidia (Strong's # 3809), tutorage, education, training, disciplinary correction, chastening,
chastisement, instruction. See: Luke 14:27.
Paidou (Strong's #3811) - To train up (chanak) a child, educate, discipline, (by punishment) chasten, chastise,
Pais (Strong's # 3816) - a boy as often beaten with impunity (without punishment), a girl, a child, a slave or
servant, a minister to a king (agape, diakonos, huperetes) by eminence to God; a child, maid, servant,-young man
Paio (Strong's # 3817) - to hit as if by a single blow, a sting as a scorpion, strike, smite
Paideutes (Strong's # 3810) - a trainer, teacher, disciplinarian
Paidagogos ('pais' and 'ago'; a boy leader, a servant whose office it was to take the

Neh. 9:20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and
Ps 32:8 -, will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Isa 28:26. For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
1 Cor 2:16-3:1- For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of
